Yeah, the title of this post
sounds a tad sappy. I apologize for that. I took a couple of pictures this past weekend that I wanted
to share—a rainbow so big, I couldn’t get it all in one shot. And offering some
prophetic quotes about rainbows along with the images just seemed like a good
idea.
Here on Maryland ’s
Eastern Shore , a spring storm rolled in. The
ominous rain clouds pushed north east and this gigantic rainbow appeared over
the ocean. It was spectacular!
The promised quotes about
rainbows:
Be thou the rainbow in the
storms of life. The evening bean that smiles the clouds away and tints tomorrow
with prophetic ray. ~Lord Byron
God puts rainbows in the
clouds so that each of us—in the dreariest, most dreaded moments—can see a
possibility of hope. ~Maya Angelou
The soul would have no
rainbow if the eyes had no tears. ~Native American Proverb
Rainbows apologize for angry
clouds. ~Sylvia Voirol
When you reduce life to black
and white, you never see rainbows. ~Unknown
Don’t forget that your
spirit-twinkle makes Life’s rainbow shine bright. ~Terri Guillemets (So don’t suppress
your spirit-twinkle!)
Count your rainbows not your
thunderstorms. ~Alyssa Knight
it seems man has learned
not to see
not to know
for he’s found the pot
of gold
but lost the rainbow
~Barry DeCarli
Somewhere over the rainbow,
way up tall,
there’s a land where they’ve
never heard of cholesterol. ~Allen Sherman
I hope you hung in there for
that last quote. That’s my favorite. *laughing* Do you have a rainbow quote you’d
like to share? A rainbow story? Please share in the comment section.
