Today is National S’mores
Day! I used to make S’mores with my kids when we spent our summer vacations in
Cabin 18 at Harrington
Manor State
Park . We’d toast marshmallows over a camp fire
and sandwich them between graham crackers along with a nice hunk of chocolate.
But according to the Kraft website, you can make indoor S’mores in your
microwave. Here’s the recipe:
4 Honeymaid graham crackers,
snapped in half
4 Jet-Puffed marshmallows
1 Hershey’s milk chocolate
bar (1.55 ounces), quartered
Place 4 graham squares on
microwaveable plate; top with chocolate and marshmallows. Microwave on high 15
to 20 seconds or until marshmallows puff. Cover with remaining graham squares;
press together gently to secure.
There are many other ways to
celebrate National S’mores Day.
